Domestically produced military fuels for Australia’s security and prosperity
Fulie is an emerging domestic fuel infrastructure developer specialising in the feasibility and production of alternative liquid fuels that are critical for Defence and Defence industry.
Our ‘production of synthetic fuels in-situ’ business model is to develop and operate a domestically distributed network of modular military-fuel production plants supplying directly to Defence at its sites.
Why We’re Here
We believe in our military’s ability to operate when others can’t, to respond to crises when called upon, and to deliver aid to those most in need.
Our security and prosperity depend on a steady supply of liquid fuels critical to Defence and Defence industry such as jet and diesel well beyond the 2050s.
When we examined our energy supply chains, we saw their fragile just-in-time methods are incapable of handling disruptions, are easily exposed to external influence, rely on single points of failure and falter even when faced against small malign actors, forcing large institutions to plan for unacceptable trade-offs.
We saw a different kind of technology and operating model, and we knew it would take a different kind of company to bring them to reality for a secure and prosperous future. That’s why we founded Fulie.
What we do
We make military fuels
in-situ
We’re focused on eliminating Defence’s complex fuel supply chains that rely on imports from foreign countries.
To achieve this, we develop modular fuel production plants at Defence sites for producing Defence approved, drop-in synthetic fuels using Australian feedstock on top of which we operate the plants to ensure that those in uniform can continue to serve our nation.
We develop solutions, not binary choices
We use advanced technologies and novel approaches in delivering a fuel capability to generate military power.
Our business model in producing synthetic fuels on Defence sites delivers flexibility, energy resilience and the ability to withstand disruptions. There is no choice when the outcomes are complementary.
We design technology to enable climate adaptation strategies
The effects of climate change are amplifying existing stressors across the region that can pose serious risks to Australia’s security.
We enable Defence to reduce its contribution to climate-driven problems by combining leading edge technologies to produce synthetic fuels capable of reducing Defence’s lifecycle emissions by more than 90 percent—without affecting its preparedness. This means Defence is more resilient, and less responsible for the problems it will be called to respond to, such as disaster responses at home and abroad or increased regional instability
We build our company around teams of experts
We’re practitioners, not consultants.
Fulie is an Australian veteran-owned liquid fuel company. We have assembled an immensely talented team of distinguished fuel, military operational and commercial experts with a strong background in the Australian Defence Force and its harsh operational environments, and practical experience across the whole military operational and energy infrastructure lifecycle. Whatever their role, each Fulie brings deep care about and focus on executing the mission.
Our values
Our core values are innovation, teamwork and integrity. Our people act in line with these values and comply with all relevant legislation and regulations.
Innovation
Our people are encouraged to actively look for novel solutions with tangible outcomes to Defence’s energy security concerns with a laser focus on its mission.

We believe that no individual person or group has a monopoly on good ideas. That’s what feeds our drive for teamwork and building partnerships as an essential part of the way we conduct our business.
Integrity
The trust others place in us is underpinned by our ethical behaviours. That is why our people are empowered to stand by the courage of their convictions, to act honestly and speak up to do what is right.
Where we’re going
Organisations around Australia remain dependent on having access to liquid energy to support and enhance our way of life.
Our vision for the future of Australia’s security and prosperity is to develop a domestically distributed network of sovereign modular liquid fuel production plants for a viable and sustainable energy future for Defence, commercial enterprises and non-profit organisations such that each can continue to fulfill its mandate with which they have been entrusted.
